David Smithet was admitted as a solicitor in 1989 and joined Kelly Solicitors in 2004. He has extensive experience as a criminal advocate in the Magistrates Courts and Youth Courts. He is a duty solicitor, regularly advising clients in Police Stations. His cases have involved money laundering, murder, serial rape, internet pornography and other serious crimes. David is a member of the Law Society and the Criminal Law Solicitors Association. He speaks conversational French.

Maria Jensen joined Kelly Solicitors on her admission as a solicitor in 2005. She has experience in dealing with fraud and a VAT carousel fraud. She speaks fluent Danish. Maria is a member of the Young Solicitors Group and the Law Society.

If you are charged with a criminal offence we can represent you in court. We are a specialist firm of solicitor advocates who enjoy Rights of Audience in Youth Courts, Magistrates Courts, Crown Courts, Court of Appeal and the House of Lords. Kelly Solicitors are also able to advise on appeals by way of Judicial Review, to the Court of Appeal, to the House of Lords and take cases to the Criminal Cases Review Commission.
