We do not make enquiries into the condition of the property but it is important that you do so. If you are obtaining a mortgage then your building society will organise a mortgage valuation which may include some report on the condition of the property but we recommend in every case that a purchase should have a proper survey carried out.

This is a thorough examination of the structure of the property and is necessary as it can identify or rule out any potential problems you could have with the property. There are several different survey options available to you and we will be happy to discuss these with you.

You will need to organise your mortgage. It is sensible to have an idea of how much you are going to be able to borrow before you begin looking at houses seriously. When you have made an offer on a house, we will receive a mortgage offer once the survey has been carried out and the mortgage application has been processed by the bank/building society. We cannot proceed without your mortgage offer.
