Currently, a problem with the progression of the e-conveyancing idea is the difficulty involved with the security of electronic signatures. Although this issue is by no means settled it seems likely that, for a time at least, this problem may be got around by practitioners such as ourselves being able to register in such a way as to allow us to ‘sign’ documents on your behalf. | | | | Watch this space. It is hoped that the proposed timetable does not slip. Certainly the government is very keen to promote this idea recognising the need for a much quicker and much less stressful system of dealing with land.
