Electronic conveyancing will be with us soon. Under government proposals, full-blown electronic conveyancing will not be in place until at least the year 2006 but some procedures in the buying of land can already be dealt with electronically. - All dealings with the Land Registry can be transacted by us online
- We can arrange online searches at the Local Authority, Environment Agency and Local Water Authority
- Most Local Authorities (though not yet all) will forward the results of searches to us electronically
- We can pass copies of all searches on to you
| | | | For the next year or so, much of the land buying process will still be done through paper documents. The Land Registry hopes, however, that within a year systems will be in place to handle parts of the process, for example the creation of mortgages, electronically.
